Chris Sullens, President and Chief Executive Officer:
Mr. Sullens is responsible for all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, corporate development, customer service and administration. Chris joined Marathon Data Systems as Chief Financial Officer in January of 2008 and was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in December of 2008. He was formerly with ServiceMaster, where he held a variety of marketing and sales roles within the company and its home service brands. Most recently, he led the online marketing efforts and retail partnerships for all of ServiceMaster's brands as Corporate Vice President of Internet Marketing and Retail Initiatives. Prior to ServiceMaster, Chris held senior executive roles with OurHouse.com, a leading Internet e-commerce company; Applied Value and PRTM, management consulting firms; and Alcatel Lucent, a leader in the telecommunications equipment industry. Chris has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. with Honors in finance, strategy and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Shankar Jagannathan, Chief Operating Officer:
Mr. Jagannathan leads Marathon’s business operations, which include the finance, administration and human resource teams. In the role, he spearheads all strategic initiatives related to corporate strategy, business and corporate, acquisitions and long-term financial planning. Prior to Marathon, Shankar Jagannathan was the Vice President of Products & Strategy for the Advanced Software Division within EMC Corporation. In this role, he led Global Product Management for a significant portfolio of Cloud and Infrastructure Management products. Shankar came to EMC from McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. He was a core member of the Hi-tech Practice within the Firm, and consulted with technology companies, Venture Capital & Private Equity funds, primarily in the telecom and semiconductor sectors. Prior to McKinsey, Shankar was a Group Engineering Leader at a startup, working on advanced automation and electromagnetic systems. Shankar holds an MBA in Finance & International Business and a Ph.D. in embedded systems and optimal control.
Kelly Gliatta, Vice President of Customer Support:
Mrs. Gliatta is responsible for the technical support and customer service aspects of the business, which includes all aspects of customer service, implementation, training, and documentation for all of Marathon’s software products. Kelly joined Marathon Data Systems as a customer service representative in July 1999 and has led the Technical Support team since January 2004. Kelly has a B.A. with Honors in psychology from Georgian Court University.
Eric Farr, Vice President of Engineering:
Mr. Farr is responsible for all of Marathon’s R&D engineering efforts, which include architecting and developing its next generation office and mobile applications and improving the development processes across the organization through adoption of agile software development practices (collaboration, automated testing, and iterative & incremental development). Mr. Farr joined Marathon in November 2011, bringing with him over twenty years of experience leading teams in building reliable, scalable, maintainable software systems. Most recently, Eric led the transformation of field service mobility provider, Agentek, from reliance on a proprietary, Windows Mobile, custom-build offering to a standards-based, cross-platform HTML5 application.
Jason Kochel, Chief Solutions Architect:
Mr. Kochel currently serves as senior developer, personally driving key strategic initiatives across the organization. Additionally, he leads our IT Infrastructure team, managing Marathon’s cloud infrastructure. Jason joined Marathon Data Systems first as an intern in June of 1996, and full-time in June of 1999. He architected the company’s transition from a Windows-based application to a web-based one and was quickly elevated to the position of Chief Technology officer, leading product management, driving all core application development, enterprise-wide module development and process improvement initiatives for Marathon’s pest and lawn verticals. Jason has a computer science and economics degree from Dartmouth College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Chris Chapman, Chief Evangelist, HVAC, Plumbing, Cleaning and Franchise Verticals:
As Chief Evangelist Chris is the face of the company to ServiceCEO’s key verticals and franchise partners. He serves as the voice of customers to ensure that ServiceCEO is the most dynamic business management system available in the marketplace. Chris is considered one of the top authorities in automating the management and back office needs of service businesses and has helped thousands of single-site and franchise organizations streamline their business processes for growth, operational uniformity and profit maximization.
Curtis Knazick, CPA, Vice President of Finance:
Mr. Knazick leads Marathon's Accounting and Human Resoures teams. Curtis brings over 20 years of experience in start-up, mid-sized and large companies where he has held senior financial and operational positions at both public and private venture backed companies. Prior to Marathon, Curtis held senior executive roles with Metavante Risk and Compliance Solutions a division of Metavante Corporation, a publicly held financial technology company. Prior to Metavante, Curtis held senior roles at Thomson Financial, Broadbeam Corporation and Chase Manhattan Mortgage, the Internal Revenue Service and CPA firm Cowan, Gunteski & Company. Curtis holds a B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from Ramapo College of New Jersey and is a Certified Public Accountant.
